Steve graduated from Fayette County High School in 1982 then Georgia Tech in 1986 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Ceramic Engineering and a multidisciplinary certificate in Materials Engineering with an emphasis in Metallurgy. He later earned a "micro MBA" from Ga Tech in 1996. He worked in the ceramic capacitor field for 28 years with both Kemet Electronics and TDK Corporation of America. He has held various engineering and managerial positions within R&D, Manufacturing, and Sales & Marketing. Steve retired as Director of Product Marketing and Development for MLCCs (multilayer ceramic capacitors) within the Sales Group of TDK in 2019. Since retiring, Steve has joined the Senoia DDA and chaired the 2021 Senoia Car Show and spends his time camping, grand parenting and tending a small car collection.
Steve was born in Atlanta, raised in Fayetteville, and currently resides in the "saddle bag" house (circa 1894) on Couch Street in Senoia. He has been married to his wife Leslee for 35 years and has 3 daughters and 2 granddaughters. Steve and Leslee are members of Cornerstone United Methodist Church and joined the Senoia Historical Society in 2014.
