Bill Wood moved to Senoia with his family in 2000. He served as Treasurer of the SAHS in the early 2000s and, along with his wife Claudia, twice hosted the entrée of the Progressive Dinner fundraiser for the Historical Society. Bill was elected to the Senoia City Council and served for five years. In 2008 Bill retired from Bellsouth as CFO of Bellsouth Corporate Aviation and Travel Services.
In 2012, Bill and his family opened Katie Lou’s Café on Main Street and operated it until 2021. He is still an owner of downtown business property. In the past three years, Bill and Claudia’s home has been a stop on the DDA’s Christmas Tour of Homes and twice a host home for Porchfest. Bill has also been a volunteer with the downtown car shows.
